Matthew 7:1-4 (KJV)
1  Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but but also not to condone sinful actsthy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

I have a real problem with bullies. How they treat others who are not like them. They set their own standards as if they are all in all. The worst are religious bullies. They judge and condemn others by their standard of religious piety. If someone doesn’t dress right, act right, talk right, smell right or even carry the same version of the Bible, they are looked down upon and condemned. They use their self-righteousness as a hammer to keep the lost and the weak fractured believer pushed down so to make themselves feel better. They desire to help those less spiritual get right. How can those that are spiritually blind help others to see? I don’t get too mad at the lost for acting lost. But I do get upset with the believer acting lost. But then it is not my place to use condemnatory judgment.

Jesus put this to teaching to work when the Scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman taken in adultery. They took stones to stone her using the law to gain permission. Jesus began writing in the dirt and as He wrote the crowd began to leave till it was just her and Him. John 8:11 (KJV) And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Here He teaches us to not condemn people who are bound up in sin and also to not condone sinful acts. We can through the Word expose sin, which is our trust, yet not condemn sinners; for they are already condemned. (John 3:18)

Isn’t it great that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ shines through the fractures and failures of our life? So let’s let our light shine. We are blessed.
