Matthew 5:9 (KJV)
9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I hate conflict! It seems that we have so much in church and that is what our community sees more than the light of the gospel. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Our master is teaching us something that only comes through spiritual growth and personal development. To understand that the loudest voice does not always win. Proverbs 15:1 (KJV) 1  A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. We need to learn to listen more, and speak less.

A peacemaker will be someone who is at peace with God. To not have a rebellious heart but rather a pure heart, to not have a prideful heart but rather a humble heart, to not have a judgmental heart but rather a merciful heart.

A peacemaker is someone who is at peace with him or herself, someone who has a settled spirit and is not in conflict with their self. Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is you.

The peacemaker has an agenda. It is to bring people together with God, not putting yourself ahead of God. The peacemaker doesn’t seek glory for their work but pushes people forward to a closer walk with God, to seek a church at peace with God and with each other. We are blessed!
