Morning Coffee

Matthew 6:34 (KJV)
34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

There is plenty of stuff for us to take care of today. We don’t need to focus on tomorrow. Focus on the things right in front of you, one at a time. If we keep looking at all we have to do it overwhelms us and we don’t get anything done. Victory today will lead to victory tomorrow. We are defeated today when we keep looking at tomorrow, not trusting our Lord, wringing our hands in worry that we don’t just lose today but are also defeated tomorrow.

Don’t use this verse to think that we don’t need to plan for tomorrow. Our lack of planning only causes us to wonder with no purpose. We need to plan according to a purposeful goal. A goal that is full of vision and faith. Being busy does not mean you are accomplishing a lot. A godly vision mixed with powerful faith will lead us to the fleshing out of our vision.

Sometimes we will see that in order to accomplish our vision we need to recruit others to help. This is not weakness. Power comes when we can sell our vision to others to multiply the victory. People will join if they can see and understand your vision and plan. A lack of planning does not constitute a crisis for others.

Keep setting great goals. If we set little goals we will gain little. If we set big goals we will gain big results. I heard it said once, “Shoot for the moon; you may only hit the fence; but at least you got off the porch!” See big, plan big, build a team for big and receive big. We are blessed.
