Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV)
7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
that knocketh it shall be opened.

What do we treasure? Where is our heart? What are we asking for? What do we seek? What do we want opened?

I believe that the main thrust of this message is the personality of a kingdom man. With this in mind, our treasure should be His kingdom in our life, where Christ is lord. Our treasure should be His rule in our life. “For where your treasure is, there will heart will be also.” (Mat 6:21).

He encourages us to pray. We ask for things we don’t have, we seek for things we can’t find, we knock on doors we can’t open. In our quest for the kingdom, Christ rule in our life; we ask, and keep on asking, for continual growth in our personal relationship with God. We seek, and keep on seeking, for wisdom, faith, power and vision. We knock, and keep on knocking, on doors of opportunity to open for the advancement of the kingdom in ourselves and in our influence in the world.

The church is a gathering of kingdom men and women who have covenanted together to advance His rule, kingdom, in the world. “We’ll work till Jesus comes, we’ll work till Jesus comes, we’ll work till Jesus comes, and we’ll be gathered home. This hymn, written by Elizabeth Mills years ago, speaks toward our work till Jesus establishes His Kingdom on earth. Until then we strive to advance is rule over the hearts and lives of men. We ask, and keep on asking, “the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth laborers into the harvest.” (Mat 9:38). We seek, and keep on seeking, for truth, love and means to do the work. We knock, and keep on knocking, to find and open new doors for Bible study, evangelism and missions. Our work will only end in glory. When we make Jesus lord over our whole life, lord of our stuff and lord of our future we will be on the ride of a lifetime. The adventure is just beginning. We are blessed.
