Matthew 7:15-16 (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

This warning is extremely important to take heed! Not all “Christians” are what they proclaim to be. Their goal is not the encouragement not the empowerment of the Body of Christ but rather their own self interests whatever they will be. They are not good for the church.

There is always a “new” thing that we just need to have or do. This wolf is at the door. I have always been a Baptist, Southern Baptist. At that time it was because that is where I got saved. I knew nothing else. New things were everywhere and I would hang between two conflicting things. One day a lady who cut my hair was telling me about her new experience, that she was moving further from her Baptist roots and challenged me to study the bible with an open mind. She didn’t know but I was moving in the same direction. So I studied! Now I am a Baptist, Southern Baptist because of biblical conviction.

The mission mind of Southern Baptist saw a need in my home town, Imperial California, and began a new work there. That new work became the First Southern Baptist Church, where years later I came to Christ, was taught His word and surrendered my life to Gospel ministry.

You shall know them by their fruits. We should always want to know more about teachers and workers. We are not to judge but we can inspect fruit. The wolf is in this for himself, doesn’t care about you. Check your internet teachers. Some are not all they say.  Our enemy will use distraction as a great weapon against us. We get so busy about being blessed that we forget to be a blessing. Serving our Lord is one of the greatest privileges in the world. Serve Him with gladness. We are blessed.
