Youth Director

I was born in Norman Oklahoma on a dark and stormy night.  The son of a police officer and the nephew of a Baptist preacher, tradition might predict that I might be one to rebel.  However; surrounded by a great family, a blood family and a church family, the Lord saw to it that I would have all I needed to grow close to Him.  Now living in Ada, and having had my feet on the path to several careers, the only thing I have made my mind up on is to serve the Lord.  I came to FBC Konawa because I had friends here and I soon found ample opportunity to serve, taking a position as the Director or Youth.

The Lord led to me Konawa via a very long road.  I was born and raised in New Jersey, where I met and married my best friend, Landis.  We have one daughter Tracey, her husband Andrew, and our two beautiful grandchildren Katy Paige and Maggie.  Landis and I moved to Colorado in 1996 and lived there for nine years, where we owned and operated a Dude Ranch.

Thirteen years ago the Lord decided it was time for us to move to Oklahoma.  Once settled in Konawa we joined the First Baptist Church, where we found a warm loving church community.  I started my position here at FBC in August of 2008.  It has been my joy and blessing to serve our church in this capacity.  It is my prayer that I should serve the Lord through serving the members of our church.

When not busy with church work or family my favorite thing to do is ride our horses.  There are few times I feel closer to the Lord than when I am trail riding in beautiful Cedar Lake.  A constant reminder that God is good!

"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."  Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)
